The Rio Olympics will take place August 5 – 21 and there will be plenty of fans tuning in, posting, sharing and commenting on social media. How can you engage with your customers and fans? Follow the online conversation using the trending hashtags and join in! Be careful to follow the USOC guidelines regarding trademarks, social media and marketing.
Everyone is talking Pokémon Go these days! Get in on the fun by posting local gyms in your area. Better yet, you can submit a request to make your place of business a PokéStop or gym. Are you a Pokémon Go player? Share your passion with your fans!
Back to School
Many businesses look forward to Back to School because it usually means Back to Business for them. You can offer a “Back to School” promotion for those that are getting back into the swing of things after the summer. Another way to get involved is by donating to a Book Bag Drive or offering educational content for your fans and followers. You can bet we’re going to have a Back to Business workshop or webinar in August!
Another way to get great content is to look for special national days. There’s a slew of special days coming up in August. Some lend themselves to deals and promotions. For example, Friendship Day on August 7th would be a great day to do a Bring and Friend and Save deal.
